Kedonganan Customary Village known as a famous as culinary tourism village. There are about 24 cafe's offering luscious seafood delecacies that can be encounter along the shoreline of Kedonganan.
I Ketut Madra, the head of the village Credit Agency (LPD) of Kedonganan Customary Village said that the existence of Kedonganan Beach as a fishery center in Badung is considered by citizens as an oppprtunity develope the culinary business. from this envolved a cafe or grilled seafood stalls that specially provided various kinds of menu along the Kedonganan Beach.


Starting in 2007, the Kedonganan Customary Village supported by Badung Regency arranged the area of Kedoangan Beach. The presence of cafe was then set up properly so the could maximize the potential of local residents. Having passed through a long process, it could be esthablished 24 units of cafe where the physical construction was financed by LPD of Kedonganan Customary Village anounting to IDR 500 million for working capital and inventory. overall the capital invested for the cafe business approximately reached IDR 12 billion.

He said the management of the 24 cafe's was handed over to six customary hamlets existing at Kedonganan Village. Each hamlet was given the right to manage four units of cafe. its was strategy to improve the welfare of Kedonganan society through join effort by utilizing the village territory located on the coast.

furheremore, he said that since then known the Kedonganan Beach was well known as a culinary tourism village. The menus on offer comprosed the grilled fish, lobster, shrimp, mussels, crab,squid, and supporting menus such as chilli-style menus of Kedonganan, water spinach with plecing sauce and some others. Traditional Market located at the main road, Gajah Mada Street, is the center of the town's economics. This area become shoping centre of Bali. This market can not be changed from the existing market across badung river's. called Kumbasari market because the local society will feel that their shoping experience would be incomplete without going there to the Kubasari Market, especialy for the balinese who want to buy their ceremonial item.


Kumbasari market sells costume and clothing items at prices relatively cheaper than clothing item sold at the shops in Gajah Mada street which are mosltly owned by citizens of chinese clan. Kumbasari Market was previously caled Peken Payuk (pot market); it sold such as gerabah (jar like pot), cobek (clay plates), paso (clay bucket), camtan (clay water jug), jeding (clay barrel), penyuntukan (mixer from clay), kekeb (rice cover) and others. All of these items are used as kitchenware and for ceremony. Since the market most popular as a place to sell payuk/pot, hence Kumbasari Market in the past was referred to Peken Payuk or Pot Market. The location of Denpasar Market is encircled by shops along the street of Gajah Mada, on the righ side there is Sulawesi street which is famous for textiles.
