The government will support Asian Beach Games by providing full funding to cover the rest
of the cost needed for completion. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had instructed the local government to give full support to this historical event in Indonesia as said by The Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare, Aburizal Bakrie during an interview in Jakarta. The Asian Beach Games is the first ever of its kind and will be the second largest after Asian Games IV in 1962 in Jakarta. The cost to organize Asian Beach Games 2008 reaches Rp2OO billion and the president will inspect directly al the preparation in Bali on October 10th or 11th. Aburizal further adedd that the president has instructed related ministries and regencies in Bali to provide the support needed for the Games, including the security and services for all head of states coming to Bali during the event.
